Known for their dynamic performances, the Guevara & Zhelezova Piano Duo creates bravura programs that energize audiences. Their credits include the Cervantino Festival (Mexico), Taiwan National Orchestra Hall, the Piano Plus Series (Woodstock, NY), and Conciertos del Este (Uruguay). The duo’s debut album, Midnight Conversations, released by Centaur Records was acclaimed as “daring, virtuosic, and wild” (Piano News) and “brilliant performance that's lots rollicking fun” (American Record Guide). With repertoire that includes Schnittke, Schubert, Piazzolla, and Glass, their programming typically blends new and old works with surprising arrangements, such as Ziegler’s 2-piano transcriptions and Zilber’s mashups.

Guevara & Zhelezova Piano duo have been selected by USArtists International (USAI) to support their debut at the prestigious Sofia Music Weeks International Festival in Bulgaria.

FONCA Selects the Samuel Zyman Project

Guevara & Zhelezova have been selected by FONCA to support their project dedicated to the World Premiere and recording of Samuel Zyman’s Concerto for Piano Four Hands and Orchestra, a new work written especially for the duo.
The project will be realized in May 2027 with the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León Symphony Orchestra (OSUANL) and Maestro Eduardo Diazmuñoz, and will include the world premiere as well as a professional recording of the work.
The support from FONCA will make possible the realization and documentation of this exceptional addition to the repertoire for piano four hands and orchestra.

a New Work Written for Guevara & Zhelezova
Guevara & Zhelezova will give the world premiere of Waves, a new work for piano four hands by composer Sheree Clement, written especially for the duo.
In Waves, Clement reflects on grief in response to the losses affecting our environment, communities, and societies. Moving between newly composed hymn fragments, moments of introspection, and passages that reach toward joy, the work explores music as a source of strength, connection, and renewed energy.
The composer writes:
“To be alive is to have opportunities to connect with other humans, work together, and agree on making changes.”
Commissioned by Guevara & Zhelezova, Waves expands the repertoire for piano four hands while inviting two performers to share the instrument as a single musical voice. The duo is grateful to Sheree Clement for creating this work and for entrusting them with its premiere.
